Born Winnipeg, Manitoba, 1976. Lived in Washington, California, British Columbia, and, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Nevada. Lots of time in Sacramento and Calgary. In 1991 began apprenticing at P.J. English's tattoo studio learning skin art, scrimshaw, wood working, and framing. After high school in Edmonton worked on web pages, and CD Roms. 1996 enrolled at the Alberta College of Art and Design for jewelry, glass, drawing, animation, video, printmaking, art history, and sound engineering. Scholarship at Yale University for painting. A residency program in Dawson City, Yukon and then down to Puerto Escodido, Oaxaca for several monthes. Back to Calgary in 2003 before moving to Montreal in 2005 and focusing on black and white drawings.
